My Little Mount Everest

The highlight of a mountain climber's career is a climb up a really tall mountain, such as Mount Everest. Well, I'm no mountain climber, and don't plan on being one, so I'll never even attempt climbing that mountain! Instead, the most strenuous form of exercise I've pursued is hiking near my grandparents' house in California. This hike, the hike up Big Rock Ridge - which is approximately 5 miles (?) - is the highlight of my "career in fitness" so far =P

Finally we reached the bottom! 5 hours later, we were completely wiped out and were dripping with sweat. And if you were carrying a backpack, like Dad, you were even more sweaty!

Also we were hungry, so after we showered...

...we went out for a well deserved meal of Japanese! (yay no mayonaise, the way sushi should be :))

Tempura!

Mom's Food Boat
Desert of wedges of ice cream balls (ice cream wrapped in rice dough or something)

Truly exhausting day, and any weight I may have lost was quickly regained by overstuffing on seafood =D hehe ;-P

Ladies' Lunch Out

Grandma and Me (also taken by my Aunt Emily)

A typical tradition (not that it gets carried out often) of my Grandmother and her friends is to have a "Ladies' Lunch Out", where mothers and daughters get together for a nice lunch somewhere out of town. Since everybody was around for once, we (and my Mom and me for the first time!) went to Nick's Cove on Tomales Bay. We had a lovely seafood lunch and all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Can't wait for the next opportunity ;-P
