Just a Day (well, maybe not an AVERAGE day...)

So, sometime last week (or whenever it was) we went to the DeYoung Museum of Art to see a special exhibit by an artist named Chihoully. I wouldn't exactly cosider it to be great works of art, but it was like eye-candy, so we enjoyed looking at it. Here are some of the things that were on display (and the displays were all MASSIVE works of glass!) Enjoy!! :)
Light and Mirror

Squiggly thing!

Giant Candy Jar! I want one in my living room! =D

MORE Giant Candy Jars!
Reeds, fungus, or purple penguins?
Imagine how hard it would've been to transport that!

Hanging things!

Crystals or Sea Urchin?

What do you make of it?

It Glows... 0.0

Small part of a BIG arrangement

Afterwards, we went to the gift shop, and then wandered around the observation tower in the museum.

They plan to put a "rainforest" in that building. Imposters!
Afterwards we went to a restaurant for Chinese food, then went to the Legion of Honor Art Museum to see a Women Impressionists exhibit.
Look! It's another Chihoully!

Copied of the Louvre?

Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take photos of the exhibit, but I must tell you there was some pretty amazing stuff! The one painting we really liked wasn't in poster form in the giftshop though =.=

We then went for a snack :)

One of my many thousand "Chrysanthemum Series"

Outside the museum was some neat stuff too!

What is it?

A memorial to the Holocaust victims

To get back home, we had to drive across the Golden Gate Bridge

A View from the Windshield

Death by Fog?!
A break in the weather :)
