Technically autumn officially started on September 21st, but I didn't believe it then. Sure, we started needing to wear a sweatshirt to the bus stop, but there weren't any of the colored leaves yet! So, when I went for a walk last weekend, I was estatic when I saw some of the beautiful leaves! And then I knew it really was autumn. :)
