China Trip - Part 6

This morning we biked around the Xi'an city wall (above). It was a total of 13.7 kms! I didn't get any pictures of us on the bikes though....
Afterwards, we flew to Beijing. Do you see the spikes sticking out above one of the chairs? That's Edmund!

Upon arrival in Beijing, we saw the Water Cube (for the Olympic Swimming...)

And the Bird's Nest Stadium (for Track and Field)

Another Random Pic =D

Alright, the exciting story of the day? We arrived in what we were informed was going to be a four star hotel, only to discover that...well...the rooms weren't exactly up to standard. Shall I delve further? Peeling paint, dirty walls, missing headboards, moldy sheets, dusty floors, cigarette stubs....it was horrible. Fortunately, they moved a few of us to larger, slightly cleaner rooms. In fact, we ended up having half the group in our room!
Naturally, Ke Lau Shi and Zhang Lau Shi complained to the tour agency, and we were moved to a Best Western the next evening....
